The Assistant Manager position is a key leadership role within the store's Operations Department, reporting directly to the Store Manager. This non-exempt role serves as the Store Manager's right hand, responsible for assisting and consulting on overall operations and administrative duties essential to meeting the store’s goals. The Assistant Manager has a comprehensive understanding of all product areas and is deeply involved in supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role also involves stepping into the Store Manager’s shoes when necessary, meaning the Assistant Manager is trained and ready to handle full managerial responsibilities, highlighting the importance and trust placed in this position.

The Assistant Manager's primary focus is to support the Store Manager in controlling store assets, developing and implementing strategies for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling. Job Requirements

  • Prior retail experience especially in footwear or athletic apparel desired

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the store manager

Job Duties

  • Assist the store manager in controlling store assets
