The role of Assistant Manager at Edwin Watts Golf is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package that includes base pay plus quarterly bonuses. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining store culture aligned with company values. The role also includes building and nurturing relationships within the local golf community, acting as a brand ambassador to foster partnerships and elevate the store's profile. In customer service situations, you will handle any negative experiences by de-escalating conflicts and ensuring customer satisfaction, using feedback to coach and improve team performance. Moreover, you will support employee development by identifying growth and training opportunities, continuously seeking ways to improve store processes. Job Requirements

  • Have working knowledge of POS register, word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet, and order processing systems
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret business reports and correspondence with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  • Freely access all store areas and lift or move up to 35 pounds
  • Work varied hours and days as needed

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail management experience or golf industry experience
  • Strong golf background preferred but not required with extensive retail experience

Job Duties

  • Maintain strong knowledge of all golf products and educate customers on offerings
  • Control shrink and expenses while ensuring sales floor stock and brand presentation
  • Execute visual merchandising programs and maintain displays
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures through store management and audits
  • Monitor company communication tools and adjust workload scheduling
  • Build external relationships and partnerships in the golf industry
  • Respond to and de-escalate negative customer experiences and coach employees
  • Help employees grow their careers and golf skills
