PetSmart offers full-time employment opportunities with competitive hourly wages, quarterly incentives based on performance, and a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being and advancement of its associates.
The Assistant Store Manager Customer Experience at PetSmart plays a critical leadership role in ensuring an exceptional experience for the pet parents who shop at and use the services of the store. This role requires a dynamic individual who embodies the company's core values and vision by creating a welcoming and supportive environment for associates and customers alike. The Assistant Store Manager, often referred to as the Experience Leader, works directly with store teams to uphold store standards, ensure the safety and well-being of pets, and drive business results through effective people leadership and operational management. Responsibilities for this position include leading hiring and training efforts, coaching and developing associates, managing daily store operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards. This role demands excellent communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to perform efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. The Assistant Store Manager also oversees important store functions such as services including grooming, training, hotel stays for pets, and live pet adoption events, ensuring these offerings meet high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
In this role, the Assistant Store Manager is essential to delivering the PetSmart brand promise by actively engaging with both associates and customers to promote a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement. This includes managing staffing, controlling expenses, and driving sales growth while overseeing the safety and comfort of the animals in store care.
