The role of Assistant Store Manager at Rooms To Go is a critical leadership position within one of its beautiful showroom locations. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive starting salary of $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and accompanied by an extensive benefits package that surpasses industry standards. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the showroom, which include managing sales processes, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining showroom upkeep. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales management
- experience managing commissioned sales associates in the furniture industry preferred
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel
- willingness to work flexible retail hours including weekends holidays and evenings
- strong leadership and mentoring ability
- desire to succeed in a sales driven environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales management preferably in the furniture industry managing commissioned sales associates
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in computer programs such as Outlook Word and Excel
- ability to work a flexible retail schedule including days evenings weekends and holidays
- ability to motivate teams and strong mentoring coaching and development skills
- preference for bilingual English and Spanish speakers
Job Duties
- Overseeing the daily operations of the showroom including sales customer service and maintenance
- working with mentoring and training a team of commissioned sales associates to increase customer experience quality and sales profitability
- ensuring customers are provided the best service and are pleased with purchases and deliveries
- training and developing a high performing sales team including implementing individual and team goals to maximize potential
- coaching each sales consultant to establish realistic sales goals each month and developing action plans while offering advice support and motivation
- assisting in maintaining a clean inviting and well presented showroom
- participating in the sales process to enhance customer shopping experience and educate associates
- assisting in maintaining positive morale among staff
