Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of management experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and develop teams effectively
  • Knowledge of shrink control and inventory management
  • Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to operate a forklift and maintain certification
  • Availability for open shifts
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Must maintain a consistent, predictable attendance record

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager
  • A strong drive for results and solid work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid understanding of shrink controls, staff development, merchandising, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities including managing cross-functional teams and training team members
  • Knowledge of store operations, membership, front-line, gas station, tire bay, maintenance, receiving, and omni procedures
  • Completion of company training program preferred
  • High school diploma and/or college degree preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, Email)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Forklift operator required
  • Open shift availability required
  • At least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic department leadership
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard team members
  • Oversee labor planning and scheduling
  • Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management
  • Champion member experience standards
  • Execute operational readiness
  • Lead department talent management
  • Utilize tools and reporting for decision-making
  • Ensure compliance and safety
  • Support special initiatives and transitions
  • Maintain equipment and facilities
  • Perform cross-functional support as needed
  • Utilize BJ's MY WORK system
  • Operate equipment safely as required
  • Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
