The role of Assistant Manager is a key leadership position within the store. This individual must be skilled in all areas of store functions, including product preparation, cash handling, and administrative duties. They will oversee and participate in food product preparation, ensuring adherence to company standards while maximizing efficiency. The Assistant Manager also provides support to cashiers and counter staff during peak periods to meet pizza preparation time goals of five minutes or less. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Assistant Manager is tasked with ensuring that all daily paperwork is accurate and complete. Cash handling duties include managing cashier transactions, securing the store's safe, and preparing bank deposits timely and accurately. The role also involves participation in analyzing food and labor costs to support profitability.
