At the Norfolk, Virginia corporate store located at 420 Monticello Ave Suite #120, 7-Eleven is seeking an Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) to join its dynamic management team. The Assistant Store Leader is responsible for ensuring the store delivers excellent service to customers every time they visit. This includes training staff to meet company standards, managing merchandising and marketing initiatives, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The position requires leadership skills to develop and empower employees, ensuring a productive and engaging work environment. The Assistant Store Leader also assists with cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting the company's loyalty program, which are vital for store profitability and customer retention.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of retail management experience
- Valid driver’s license and automotive liability insurance
- Ability to multitask and perform physical activities including bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching alongside the Store Leader for all store employees
- Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity
- Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs
- Handle cash transactions, fuel transactions, and promote the loyalty program
- Ensure store cleanliness and safety by complying with health and sanitation procedures
- Maintain product stock and store presentation
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Utilize computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
