The Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) position at 7-Eleven offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working as part of a management team and possess previous supervisory experience. This role involves working closely with the Store Leader to oversee and lead all store employees, ensuring thorough customer service, training, coaching, and operational excellence. As an Assistant Store Leader, you will support the implementation of merchandising and marketing programs, manage cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the company’s loyalty program. Job Requirements

  • Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership training and coaching for store employees
  • Experience maintaining high employee retention through recruitment and development
  • Ability to implement merchandising and marketing programs
  • Competency in cash handling fuel transactions and loyalty program promotion
  • Ability to maintain clean and safe store environment by following health and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory with retail management experience
  • Valid driver’s license with automotive liability insurance
  • Capacity to multitask perform physical activities such as bending standing reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required with at least one year of retail management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers especially Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive liability insurance
  • Ability to multitask and handle physical activity including bending standing reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership training and coaching alongside the Store Leader for all store employees
  • Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants developing leaders empowering employees and encouraging productivity
  • Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs
  • Manage cash handling fuel transactions and promote the loyalty program
  • Maintain a clean safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures ensuring the store is presentable and all products are in-stock
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Use computer systems proficiently including Microsoft Word and Excel
