The role of Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) at 7-Eleven is designed for individuals who embrace leadership and thrive working as part of a dynamic management team. Ideal candidates will have previous supervisory experience and a passion for retail management. As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Leader in overseeing store operations while providing exceptional customer service leadership. Duties include coaching and training store employees, assisting with merchandising and marketing initiatives, managing cash and fuel transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to multitask, including occasional physical demands like bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching alongside the Store Leader for all store employees
  • Demonstrated strength maintaining high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity
  • Ability to assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs
  • Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting the loyalty program
  • Demonstrated ability maintaining a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures to ensure the store is presentable and stocked
  • Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge especially Microsoft Word and Excel
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required with at least one year of retail management experience
  • Valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance during employment
  • Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
