The Assistant Stewarding Manager role at Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, is a full-time position that plays a vital part in upholding the company's standards of excellence. Reporting directly to the Stewarding Manager, the role involves leading and managing the stewarding department to ensure that all aspects of kitchen sanitation, equipment maintenance, and operational efficiency meet the highest standards. In this role, the Assistant Stewarding Manager will be responsible for selecting, training, evaluating, motivating, coaching, and disciplining employees in the stewarding department. Additionally, the individual will oversee labor and operating costs by managing scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory controls effectively.

The Assistant Stewarding Manager will collaborate closely with employees and other managers to ensure seamless operational workflows and attend regular meetings for departmental coordination. This position also requires working alongside the Executive Chief Steward to ensure an adequate supply of china, silver, glassware, and other service-related equipment.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in stewarding or a related hospitality role
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations

- Experience with budgeting and inventory control
Job Duties
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Stewarding Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met
- Ensure the organization and sanitation of all kitchens, storage areas, employee dining room, waste receptacle areas, compactor room, carts, tables, and Stewarding Department equipment and machinery through constant monitoring and adherence to a vigorous cleaning schedule
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control
- Ensure proper use and provide regular care, security and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in the Stewarding Department
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
- Work closely with the Executive Chief Steward to coordinate an adequate supply of china, silver, glass and other equipment used in service
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
