This management position involves assisting in the planning and execution of meetings and special events, ensuring seamless transitions from sales to operations and back, and leading the team to exceed daily and weekly goals across multiple metrics, including sales, attendance, guest satisfaction, and safety. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related areas
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in hospitality or related field
  • One year of relevant professional experience
  • Strong leadership capabilities

Job Duties

  • Lead the team to meet and exceed daily and weekly goals including sales, attendance, guest satisfaction, and safety
  • Research and analyze new products, pricing, and services of competitors
  • Assist in communicating upcoming group impacts on property operations
  • Execute event management strategy aligned with company business strategy
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of banquet floors to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
  • Train employees on various event management software systems
  • Develop relationships with vendors and establish pricing and service agreements
  • Create upselling opportunities during event planning
  • Manage controllable departmental expenses to meet budget goals
  • Oversee merchandise inventory and display to increase sales
