The compensation for this role ranges between $28.35 and $30.27 per hour, with eligibility for bonuses, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding outstanding performance.

The role centers around assisting in the planning and execution of meetings and special events, playing a pivotal part in ensuring these occasions run smoothly from start to finish. The successful candidate will promote and assist in executing all property events, ensuring seamless coordination between sales and operations teams. Leadership is a key aspect, as the role involves guiding the team to meet and surpass daily and weekly goals related to sales, attendance, guest satisfaction, and safety.

This position requires a proactive individual who helps implement departmental strategies aligned with the larger business objectives of Gaylord Hotels and Marriott International. The role demands a balance of operational oversight and strategic input, working collaboratively across departments to optimize the guest experience and maximize profitability.

Key responsibilities include conducting daily walkthroughs of event spaces to maintain high standards of quality and client satisfaction, analyzing competitive products and services, and assisting in managing budgets and controllable expenses. The candidate will also play an important role in vendor relationships to enhance event experiences and generate additional revenue streams.

Exceptional customer service is a hallmark of this role, with an emphasis on creating an atmosphere that consistently meets or exceeds guest expectations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in hospitality or related major
  • 1 year experience in related professional area
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work full time
  • Willingness to work on-site
  • Eligibility for bonus compensation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in hospitality or related field with 1 year relevant experience

Job Duties
