The Spa Assistant Manager role at this prestigious Four Seasons location is a vital leadership position responsible for assisting in managing the Spa Department. Job Requirements

  • excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • demonstrates superior knowledge of spa, wellness and treatments
  • ability to operate Spa computer systems
  • knowledge of treatments that are offered by Massage Therapists, Estheticians and Nail Techs
  • strong communication skills between customers, vendors, employees and co-workers
  • college degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management or Business Administration preferred
  • minimum of five years experience in luxury Spa or related field
  • previous experience with Spa retail preferred

Job Duties

  • manage and oversee all Spa/Salon areas (Front Desk, Fitness Facilities, Locker Room, Relaxation Lounge, Treatment Rooms and Retail)
  • interview and select job applicants as well as effectively supervise, discipline, and give performance evaluations for spa employees
  • foster positive employee morale
  • responsible for the administration of goods, requisitions, inventories, storage, and cost-effective usage of all department related products, according to standards and budget to ensure for smooth operation
  • oversee the operation of equipment and cleanliness in all spa areas and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering
  • effectively integrate the Spa with the Hotel operations wherever possible and in accordance with the direction of Spa trends
  • participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes, as well as ways to increase sales and service
  • create retail purchase orders in accordance with pars and budget
  • organize and facilitate monthly and quarterly retail inventory
  • coordinate group bookings and conduct on-site tours of the Spa with key meeting planners
  • assist all Spa and Salon departments with internal standards testing
