The Assistant Sous Chef plays a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef by overseeing daily kitchen operations and maintaining the quality of food production across all dining outlets within the hotel. The Assistant Sous Chef assists with planning, organizing, and directing food preparation, ensuring consistency in taste, portion control, and presentation, while also managing inventory and minimizing food waste. As a key part of the kitchen leadership team, the Assistant Sous Chef steps in when the Sous Chef is absent, providing continuity and ensuring smooth operations.

Job Duties
- assist in planning, organizing, and directing food preparation in all outlets (restaurant, banquets, room service, etc.)
- ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- supervise kitchen staff during shifts and delegate tasks effectively
- step in for the sous chef in their absence
- maintain high culinary standards and presentation
- ensure recipes and production levels are followed accurately
- monitor food freshness and proper storage
- enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- ensure compliance with local health regulations
