Dexterra Group is a well-established company with over 75 years of experience in supporting critical infrastructure and built assets. The companies that comprise Dexterra Group began as independent entities and have now united under one brand, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to helping clients achieve higher operational performance and productivity. Dexterra is powered by passionate professionals who leverage a combination of experience and regional expertise to ensure that client operations run smoothly and efficiently. This group prides itself on delivering reliable, tailored solutions by forming the right teams with the right skills for the job. The company's focus spans a range of essential services that underpin modern infrastructure and business operations, contributing significantly to societal development and sustained economic growth.
The role in question is for an Assistant Site Manager, based at one of Dexterra's world-class workforce accommodations facilities. This position is full-time and deeply integral to the company’s rapidly expanding accommodation operations. The Assistant Site Manager will oversee a facility that is initially composed of approximately 500 rooms and is projected to grow exponentially to over 4,000 rooms. This expansion highlights a dynamic work environment requiring strong, experienced leadership.
As a senior leader, the Assistant Site Manager will bear full responsibility for site management, focusing on operational excellence across multiple service lines, including facilities maintenance, dining and food services, housekeeping, and laundry services. The role demands hands-on project management capabilities complemented by strategic leadership skills to navigate the complexities of a large-scale hospitality environment. The position requires building, leading, and motivating a high-performing team committed to delivering outstanding service while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, guest experience, and client satisfaction.
The Assistant Site Manager is accountable not just for day-to-day operations but also for the long-term success of the facility, requiring skills in financial oversight including budget development, revenue forecasting, and cost control. The role will also engage in staffing and resource planning aligned with client demands and operational requirements. This position is safety-sensitive and mandates drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work testing, underscoring Dexterra’s strong safety culture.
Candidates for this role must be adaptable, comfortable in a fast-growing and complex environment, and capable of leading teams through significant growth phases. The company strongly emphasizes diversity and inclusion, offering equal employment opportunities. Dexterra Group fosters a supportive workplace that values the input and development of all employees, making it an excellent choice for professionals eager to play a leadership role in one of Canada’s largest workforce accommodation operations and infrastructure services providers. This opportunity combines operational leadership, client relations, team development, and strategic management in a challenging and rewarding position.
