Job Description

Factory Direct Enterprises LLC (FDE) is a leading retail company proudly representing Ashley Furniture, the best-selling furniture brand globally and the foremost retailer of furniture and bedding in the United States. As one of the largest licensees of Ashley Furniture, FDE stands out as a premier place to work, having been recognized by Furniture Today as one of the Best Places to Work in Furniture for 2025. The company is deeply committed to fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment where employee success is highly valued and actively rewarded. With a focus on integrity, customer satisfaction, and professional development, FDE has built a strong culture that empowers sales teams to thrive while providing outstanding service to customers.

The Regional Assistant Selling Manager role at FDE offers a compelling leadership opportunity with excellent earning potential and extensive benefits. This full-time position is commission-based with a salary range between $60,000 and $110,000 annually, supplemented by annual bonuses, weekly incentives, and profit-sharing programs that reward individual and company performance. The role involves significant interaction with the sales floor and the team, emphasizing mentorship, sales leadership, and operational support. The Assistant Selling Manager will have a designated home store within the Long Island East locations (Lake Grove, Farmingdale, Riverhead, or Patchogue) but may also be required to flexibly cover other locations as business needs dictate.

This role is designed for someone who is passionate about retail sales, leadership, and fostering an exceptional guest experience. Key responsibilities include supporting sales of merchandise and protection plans, achieving and exceeding sales targets, coaching and developing the sales team, and managing store operations in collaboration with store leadership. The position involves hands-on leadership with a focus on visibility on the sales floor, mentoring team members, recruiting and training new associates, overseeing store readiness, and ensuring compliance with company policies and customer service standards.

FDE values a culture of recognition and team member wellness, reflected in various programs such as Ashley Cares initiatives including Hope to Dream (supporting children in need through mattress purchases), Give a Day (paid volunteer time), Corporate Chaplains (confidential support resources), Life Resources (health and financial literacy programs), and financial wellness platforms like SmartDollar. Team members also benefit from referral bonuses, employee discounts, and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering results in a fast-paced, performance-driven retail environment. The Assistant Selling Manager’s success will be measured by sales achievements, team performance, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and leadership presence. With extensive training through the Ashley Sales Academy, ongoing coaching, and the opportunity to participate in incentive trips and awards, this position offers a rewarding career path for motivated professionals seeking growth within a respected retail brand.
