The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager at SSP America offers an exciting opportunity to join a reputable global brand specializing in travel dining. This full-time position, with a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year, includes eligibility for quarterly bonuses and an annual super bonus. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a vital leadership role across SSP America's restaurant locations, including the possibility of assignment at any open location within the company's network without changes in pay. This role is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about food service and eager to influence guest experiences positively.

In this role, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for guiding and supporting a team of Food Travel Experts in both front of house and back of house operations. The position entails training staff, implementing high guest service standards, managing merchandising and inventory, and planning daily operational goals and team member tasks. The manager will also supervise and evaluate team performance, ensure policy compliance including health and sanitation standards, and take disciplinary measures when necessary. The position demands a hands-on leadership approach and excellent communication skills to maintain a welcoming, efficient, and quality-focused restaurant environment.

Job Requirements

  • minimum 2 years restaurant manager experience in a quick-service environment required
  • 1 year of experience in a full-service bar environment preferred
  • minimum 1 year kitchen manager experience in a professional restaurant or production kitchen preferred

Job Duties

  • trains, develops and communicates with team of food travel experts in front of house and back of house
  • implements and maintains guest service standards and or brand specifications
  • maintains all merchandising standards, display presentations and signing standards and monitors inventory levels
  • develops, plans and assigns daily goals, tasks and team member assignments
  • manages, supervises and evaluates team member performance through follow-up to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and goals and provides feedback including disciplinary action
  • maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as state health sanitation standards
