Job Description
SSP America is a leading global operator of food and beverage outlets in high-traffic locations such as airports, train stations, and motorway service areas. With a renowned presence across numerous international airports, SSP America specializes in delivering quality dining experiences through a variety of popular restaurant brands. Among these is Chili's, a widely recognized full-service restaurant known for its vibrant atmosphere and extensive menu that combines classic American dishes with a lively bar offering. This environment demands efficient management, exceptional customer service, and the ability to adapt quickly to fast-moving operational needs.
This opportunity is for the position of Assistant Restaurant Manager at Chili's located within Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), one of the busiest airports in the United States. The role offers an annual salary range of $52,000 to $55,000 with additional opportunities for quarterly bonuses and a year-end super bonus, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding outstanding performance. The employment includes a comprehensive benefits package and ample career progression opportunities within the organization.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager position is key to ensuring Chili's delivers exceptional dining experiences in a demanding, high-volume airport environment. You will oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, balancing the need to maintain high standards of service while managing daily administrative tasks such as office management, merchandising, and budgeting. You will lead and develop a dedicated team, championing a collaborative culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
This role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing diverse teams, forecasting resources, and solving various challenges in real time. Your proficiency in computer systems, including point-of-sale (POS) technology and Microsoft Office applications, will be essential in streamlining operations and reporting. This position demands someone who demonstrates remarkable organizational skills and maturity, capable of prioritizing activities in a fast-paced work setting where unpredictability is the norm.
Working at Chili's in an airport environment combines the excitement of a dynamic workplace with the responsibility of maintaining efficiency and quality under pressure. This role uniquely offers the chance to develop crucial leadership and management skills within a global hospitality context, supported by SSP America's strong commitment to employee development and job satisfaction. If you thrive on leading by example and enjoy high-energy workplaces, this position offers a rewarding career path with excellent compensation, valuable benefits, and a clear trajectory for growth.
