We are currently seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team and help drive the success of our restaurant operations.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in controlling day-to-day operations including scheduling labor, managing inventory, ordering food and supplies, and developing a motivated and efficient restaurant team. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring all health and safety codes, including OSHA regulations, are adhered to, fostering a safe and compliant workplace. The Assistant Manager is also tasked with reviewing financial reports, managing labor costs effectively, and taking necessary actions to maintain profitability. This role demands someone who can recruit, train, and support team members through performance appraisals, counseling, and ongoing development, especially focusing on grooming future Assistant Managers. Additionally, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will work strategically to build sales by leveraging Local Store Marketing initiatives and engaging with the community. Maintaining company standards concerning equipment, facilities, and grounds is another essential responsibility achieved through a proactive preventative maintenance program. This position requires a proactive, self-directed individual who is passionate about driving operational excellence and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in restaurant management or supervisory role
understanding of labor laws and HR practices
ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
excellent organizational skills
strong problem-solving capabilities
availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or a related role
strong leadership and team development skills
knowledge of OSHA and local health and safety regulations
experience with inventory management and financial report analysis
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff
strategic thinking and sales building ability

Job Duties

Controlling day to day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team
ensuring that OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures are followed
maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
ensuring compliance with all Human Resources practices and applicable labor laws
recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members, conducting performance appraisals, counsels, motivating, and training entire team inclusive of developing Assistant Managers
building sales to meet and exceed store plan by utilizing Local Store Marketing strategies along with community involvement in a self-directed manner
ensuring company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program
