The company also emphasizes employee well-being and innovation, earning accolades such as "Best in STEM" and being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025.
Peter Piper Pizza adds to the family-friendly experience by providing a neighborhood pizzeria atmosphere with quality food and engaging entertainment that promotes fun, physical wellness, and community connection. Together, these brands operate nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries. This wide geographic footprint demonstrates the company’s dedication to inclusivity, diversity, and bringing families together through play and enjoyment.
CEC Entertainment offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Employees benefit from job training and career growth opportunities, as well as perks like early wage access and telemedicine. They also focus strongly on diversity and equal opportunity, striving to reflect the diverse backgrounds of the communities they serve and maintain a culture of fun and respect.
About the Role
The Assistant Manager position at CEC Entertainment is a dynamic, high-energy role ideal for those seeking to advance their management career within the family entertainment industry. As an Assistant Manager, you will help lead a dedicated team committed to the company’s mission of making every guest leave happy. This role offers hourly wages ranging from $17.33 to $19.25, with exciting commission opportunities tied to sales of memberships and fun passes.
In this position, you will make important daily decisions involving staff scheduling, time management, and maintaining cleanliness standards. You will drive sales and profitability by recruiting, training, developing, and motivating your team to meet rigorous company and guest expectations. Coaching and inspiring team members to deliver excellent guest service is central to your responsibilities, as is ensuring a safe, clean operating environment.
Additionally, you will manage cost control procedures, inventory, financial metrics, and labor management to optimize business results. A unique aspect of this role is owning an Area of Impact (AOI), rotating through areas like kitchen operations, sales including cashier and merchandise oversight, showroom party planning, and gameroom maintenance and data analysis. This rotation allows for comprehensive development and a broad understanding of all facets of the business.
The role demands strong communication, coaching skills, resourcefulness, composure under pressure, ethical conduct, and excellent time and priority management abilities. A successful candidate will possess at least one year of people management experience, preferably in food service, or experience as an Opening Coordinator for six months or more. This position requires the ability to work 40 hours weekly and be at least 21 years of age (though exceptions may apply based on local laws). Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, kneel, and work in an environment that may involve flashing lights, loud noise, and variable temperatures.
CEC Entertainment is dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive workplace where employees can grow and succeed while contributing to a brand that fosters fun, safety, and connection for families nationwide. Join the team and take the next step in your career with a company that values diversity, excellence, and making a positive impact every day.
