Job Description
NY Hospitality Group is a dynamic and rapidly expanding hospitality company known for its commitment to excellence in both high-volume a la carte dining and premium catering services. Based in White Plains, NY, this group operates multiple venues and offers a variety of culinary experiences that emphasize quality, guest satisfaction, and innovative dining concepts. The company takes pride in creating a welcoming and professional environment for both guests and staff, fostering career growth and development within the hospitality industry. As a key player in the New York hospitality scene, NY Hospitality Group combines modern operational techniques with traditional hospitality values to maintain its strong reputation and continued expansion.
The Assistant Restaurant Floor Manager role at NY Hospitality Group offers a unique opportunity to engage with all facets of front-of-house management within a busy restaurant environment. This position is designed for individuals who have at least two years of direct restaurant experience, including supervisory shifts, and who can effectively manage day-to-day operations on the floor. The role involves ensuring smooth daily service, supporting front-of-house team members, handling guest concerns, and overseeing logistical tasks such as managing reservations and scheduling. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for running live floor service, assisting with private event bookings, and executing nightly closing procedures, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Candidates must be local to the White Plains area with a reliable daily commute, highlighting the importance of punctuality and presence during peak hours, weekends, and holidays. The position demands physical stamina including the ability to stand for extended periods during shifts and safely lift items up to 40 pounds. Proficiency with modern restaurant technology is essential; familiarity with Toast POS systems, MS Word and Excel for reporting, and scheduling software like 7shifts and reservation management platforms such as Tock is required or the ability to quickly learn these tools.
This is a hands-on role that provides exposure to a dual operational environment encompassing a la carte dining and catering which allows the Assistant Manager to develop a broad spectrum of management skills. Additionally, NY Hospitality Group offers clear and direct career pathways as the company grows, making this position an ideal stepping stone for those looking to advance in the hospitality industry. The environment is fast-paced and customer-focused, providing an excellent platform for individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.
