The role involves making critical daily decisions related to time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and maintaining high standards for both product quality and guest service.

This management position is both challenging and rewarding, offering competitive hourly compensation ranging from $19.32 to $21.47, coupled with commission opportunities on memberships and Fun Pass sales. Commission payouts vary depending on job classification (exempt or non-exempt) and are paid bi-weekly in alignment with state laws. The Assistant Manager will also have the responsibility of leading and motivating the team by recruiting, training, and developing employees to meet both company targets and guest expectations, ensuring the highest standards of service and safety are maintained throughout the store environment.

Additionally, the role includes rotating responsibilities across various key operational areas known as Areas of Impact (AOI), including the Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom. This rotation gives the Assistant Manager comprehensive exposure to all aspects of the business and operations, from managing food safety and inventory in the Kitchen, overseeing sales and merchandising, coordinating birthday party execution in the Showroom, to partnering with technical staff to maintain game equipment in the Gameroom. The position demands strong skills in cost control, inventory management, financial oversight, labor management, and team leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (RVP approval may allow hiring at legally permitted age)
  • Minimum of one year experience managing people, preferably in food service or six months as Opening Coordinator
  • Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds during scheduled shift
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk, and squat during scheduled shift
  • Ability to work in environments with flashing/flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and exposure to wet, humid, extreme heat, and cold conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience managing people, preferably in the food service industry or experience as an Opening Coordinator for at least six months
  • Coaching and developing others
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
  • Resourceful and ethical with integrity
  • Time and priority management skills

Job Duties

  • Make daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and upholding product and guest service standards
  • Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing, and motivating the team
  • Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure a safe, clean, and well-run environment
  • Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management
  • Take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) and complete rotations in Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom areas
  • Manage product ordering, food safety, scheduling, and cleanliness in the Kitchen, including pizza preparation and cooking
  • Lead birthday party execution and planning in Showroom, maximizing bookings and guest satisfaction
