The Assistant Manager role at CEC Entertainment offers a dynamic, high-energy opportunity for professionals eager to advance their management careers within the family entertainment industry. This position plays a vital leadership role, helping to manage a team dedicated to ensuring that every guest leaves happy. The Assistant Manager leads with a focus on operational excellence, guest service, and team development. Key responsibilities include daily decision-making regarding time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and maintaining product and service standards. The role involves building sales and maximizing profits through effective recruitment, training, and motivating team members, while fostering a culture of outstanding guest service and safety. Assistant Managers also engage in cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management. They will take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) in one of four key domains—Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, or Gameroom—and rotate through these areas to gain comprehensive operational knowledge. The Kitchen AOI entails managing food safety, product ordering, pizza and menu item preparation, and maintaining cleanliness. The Sales AOI focuses on overseeing cashiers, salad bar, and gift shop, including inventory, ordering, sales performance, and quality assurance. The Showroom AOI involves planning and executing birthday parties to maximize bookings and guest satisfaction. Lastly, the Gameroom AOI partners with technical staff to maintain equipment, analyze gameplay data, and ensure a clean, guest-ready gaming environment.

This position is offered as a full-time role with competitive hourly pay ranging from $19.32 to $21.47, plus commission opportunities based on membership and Fun Pass sales, paid bi-weekly. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week
  • Must have a high-school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older, with exceptions based on local laws and RVP approval
  • Minimum one year of experience managing people or six months as an Opening Coordinator
  • Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during scheduled shift
  • Ability to work in environments with flashing lights, loud noise, and exposure to varying temperature and humidity conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a high-school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of experience managing people, preferably in the food service industry or experience as an Opening Coordinator for at least six months

Job Duties

  • Make daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness and upholding product and guest service standards
  • Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing and motivating the team
  • Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure a safe, clean, and run environment
  • Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management
  • Take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) and complete rotations in Kitchen, Sales, Showroom and Gameroom
  • Manage kitchen operations including food safety, scheduling, and pizza preparation
  • Oversee sales areas including cashiers, salad bar, and gift shop with responsibility for inventory and profitability
  • Lead showroom party execution and planning to maximize bookings
  • Partner with Technical Manager to maintain game and restaurant equipment and analyze gameplay data
  • Maintain clean and guest-ready gameroom and surrounding areas
