The Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Goldfinch Rancho Santa Margarita plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of this dynamic restaurant. This full-time, on-site position is essential to maintaining the smooth running of front-of-house activities and ensuring that every guest receives excellent service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant Restaurant Manager oversees opening and closing duties, supervises front-of-house staff, and ensures that service standards are consistently upheld throughout all shifts. The role demands a proactive leader who can effectively monitor floor operations, resolve guest concerns swiftly and professionally, and engage actively with patrons to maintain a warm and inviting atmosphere.

In addition to guest interaction and floor supervision, the Assistant Restaurant Manager assists with various administrative and operational responsibilities, including hiring, training, and scheduling staff members. Coaching team members on service delivery and product knowledge is also a key focus, ensuring that the staff provides a memorable dining experience reflective of The Goldfinch’s high standards. The role includes enforcing company policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality. Inventory control and coordination with the kitchen and bar staff to guarantee timely service and product quality fall within this position’s scope. Job Requirements
