The Assistant Manager role at CEC Entertainment presents a high-energy, high-reward opportunity to lead a team committed to excellence in guest service. This position plays a key role in ensuring every guest leaves happy by making daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and upholding product and guest service standards. The Assistant Manager is responsible for building sales and maximizing profits by recruiting, training, developing, and motivating the team to meet company and guest expectations. This role requires coaching and inspiring team members to deliver outstanding service, ensure a safe and clean environment, and manage labor, financials, and inventory controls effectively.
One unique aspect of this role is the ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) which includes rotations through critical operational areas: Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom. The Kitchen responsibilities include managing product ordering, food safety, scheduling, cleanliness, and overseeing food preparation such as pizza dough and menu items. Sales oversight covers cashier operations, salad bar and gift shop management, upselling strategies, inventory control, and profitability management. The Showroom involves leading birthday party planning and execution to maximize bookings and guest satisfaction while optimizing seating. The Gameroom duties entail partnering with the Technical Manager to maintain games and equipment, analyzing game data and ticket payouts, and ensuring the area is guest ready.
The position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $19.32 to $21.47 per hour and includes commission potentials varying between exempt and non-exempt employees for Membership and Fun Pass sales. Job Requirements
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week
- Must have a high-school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older or as permitted by local law
- Minimum of one year experience managing people preferably in food service or six months experience as an Opening Coordinator
- Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during shifts
- Able to work in an environment with flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, wet, humid, extreme heat and cold conditions
Job Qualifications

- Lead birthday party execution and maximize showroom bookings
- Partner with Technical Manager to maintain games and analyze gameroom data
