The position offered is a full-time management role with an hourly pay range of $25.48 to $34.62 and bonus eligibility.

The role is an entry-level management position focused on assisting in the daily operations of Restaurants/Bars and Room Service within the hotel. The position involves close collaboration with the restaurant team, servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure the overall smooth functioning of the dining and service areas. Key responsibilities include menu planning, maintaining high sanitation standards, supervising staff, handling employee concerns, and ensuring compliance with the restaurant's policies and local regulations, including alcohol service laws. The candidate will be expected to monitor service quality, engage with guests to obtain feedback, and uphold Marriott International's commitment to exceptional customer service and satisfaction. The managerial duties extend to supporting budget goals, opening and closing shifts, and taking on direct service roles when necessary to maintain operational standards. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or associate degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality or related field with minimum 1 year experience
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including peak meal periods
  • must be able to manage multiple tasks and supervise staff
  • knowledge of local alcohol beverage laws and compliance
  • commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • capacity to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • willingness to participate in ongoing training and development

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • ability to motivate and manage teams
  • knowledge of sanitation standards and compliance requirements

Job Duties

  • handle employee questions and concerns
  • monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met
  • provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors
  • assist in supervising daily shift operations
  • supervise restaurant and all related areas in the absence of senior management
  • participate in department meetings communicating departmental goals
  • ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
  • communicate issues regarding food quality and service levels to Chef and Restaurant Manager
  • ensure compliance with restaurant policies, standards and procedures
  • monitor alcohol beverage service compliance with local laws
  • assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals
  • perform all duties of restaurant employees as necessary
  • open and close restaurant shifts
  • interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs and financial objectives
  • encourage employees to provide excellent customer service
  • handle guest problems and complaints, seeking supervisor assistance as necessary
  • strive to improve service performance
  • set a positive example for guest relations
