The role of Assistant Manager at CEC Entertainment is a dynamic and high-energy leadership opportunity designed for candidates eager to elevate their management careers within the family entertainment sector. As an Assistant Manager, you will be entrusted with making daily operational decisions, including staff scheduling, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding the highest standards of product quality and guest service. You will have ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) which involves rotating through key operational areas including the kitchen, sales, showroom, and gameroom.

In the kitchen, you will manage product ordering, food safety, scheduling, and oversee pizza preparation and cooking of other menu items. The sales responsibility involves oversight of the cashier, salad bar, and gift shop areas, focusing on upselling programs, inventory management, and profitability. In the showroom, your leadership will maximize birthday party bookings and guest satisfaction while optimizing seating. The gameroom area requires partnering with the Technical Manager to keep games and restaurant equipment in excellent condition with minimal downtime. This role blends operational expertise with leadership, coaching a motivated team to provide outstanding guest service in a fun and safe environment.

The Assistant Manager position at CEC Entertainment offers a competitive commission-based earning potential, with commissions ranging from $0.50 to $10.00 per membership sold for exempt employees, and $2.00 to $8.00 for non-exempt employees. Fun Pass sales also offer additional commission income. These payouts occur bi-weekly, depending on state regulations. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years old or older (RVP approval may allow otherwise per local law)
  • Minimum of one year managing people or six months experience as an Opening Coordinator
  • Able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds
  • Able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during shift
  • Comfortable with work environment including flashing lights, mechanical parts, loud noise, and varying temperatures

Job Duties

  • Make daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness and upholding product and guest service standards
  • Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing and motivating the team
  • Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and maintain a safe, clean environment
  • Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management
  • Take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) rotating through kitchen, sales, showroom, and gameroom
  • Manage kitchen operations including product ordering, food safety, scheduling, pizza preparation and cooking
  • Lead sales overseeing cashier, salad bar, and gift shop with monitoring sales results and profitability
  • Lead birthday party planning and execution maximizing bookings and satisfaction
  • Partner with Technical Manager to maintain gameroom equipment condition and analyze game data
