Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spread across 45 states and 18 countries, the company is dedicated to creating joyful, lasting memories for families through a unique blend of fun, food, and play. Chuck E. Cheese hosts more than half a million birthday celebrations annually and focuses on safety and community support with programs like Kid Check® and donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits. These efforts reflect the company's commitment to providing a safe, fun environment where children and families can connect and create unforgettable experiences.
CEC Entertainment prides itself on fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being. In recognition of its industry leadership, the company was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces and received the "Best in STEM" award in 2025. Both Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza emphasize the importance of play and physical wellness for children, offering engaging entertainment and quality food. CEC is committed to ensuring its workforce represents the diverse backgrounds of the guests it serves and operates as an equal opportunity employer that values and respects all individuals.
The Assistant Manager role at Chuck E. Cheese offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to advance their management careers in a dynamic, family-focused environment. As an Assistant Manager, you will lead a passionate and dedicated team with the mission that "every guest leaves happy." This high-energy, high-reward position involves managing multiple facets of day-to-day restaurant operations, including team scheduling, cleanliness, guest service standards, and cost controls. You will also play a key role in building sales and maximizing profits by recruiting, training, motivating, and developing your team to meet and exceed customer and company expectations.
In this role, you take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) within one of four key departments: Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, or Gameroom. This rotation provides comprehensive experience across all operational areas. The Kitchen responsibilities include managing food safety, product ordering, scheduling, and overseeing pizza dough preparation from scratch. Sales duties cover cashier oversight, inventory, ordering, merchandise management, and quality assurance of the salad bar. Showroom management involves planning and executing birthday parties, increasing bookings, maximizing seating, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Gameroom role requires partnering with the Technical Manager to maintain equipment, analyze game data, and keep the area guest-ready.
Assistant Managers are expected to coach and inspire their teams, foster a customer-focused culture, and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This position demands strong decision-making, time management, and priority-setting skills. The company offers competitive commission structures that vary for exempt and non-exempt employees based on Membership and Fun Pass sales. Additional benefits include paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays, health insurance options, retirement savings plans, tuition support, employee discounts, and access to employee assistance programs.
