The Assistant Manager position at CEC Entertainment represents an exciting opportunity within the family entertainment industry. This role challenges dynamic leaders to guide a team under a high-energy, customer-centric environment focused on making every guest leave happy. Assistant Managers handle key responsibilities including time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and maintaining the highest standards of guest service and product quality. They work to build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing, and inspiring the team to meet and exceed company and guest expectations consistently. The role demands expertise in coaching, communication, composure, resourcefulness, ethics, and integrity, coupled with strong time and priority management skills.

Assistant Managers will take ownership of specific Areas of Impact (AOI), rotating through Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom to gain comprehensive operational knowledge. Each AOI requires overseeing distinct functions such as food safety and preparation in the Kitchen, managing sales and inventory in the Sales area, leading party planning and guest satisfaction in the Showroom, and partnering with technical management to maintain game room equipment and cleanliness. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older or as permitted by local law with RVP approval
  • Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during scheduled shift
  • Ability to work in an environment with flashing lights, moving parts, loud noise and variable temperature conditions
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (or age permitted by local law with RVP approval)
  • Minimum of one year of people management experience or six months as Opening Coordinator

Job Duties

  • Make daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness and upholding product and guest service standards
  • Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing and motivating the team to meet company and guest expectations
  • Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure a safe, clean, and run environment
  • Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management
  • Take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) in Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, or Gameroom and complete rotation through each area
  • Manage product ordering, food safety, scheduling and cleanliness in the Kitchen including pizza preparation
  • Oversee sales monitoring, inventory, ordering, and profitability in Sales area including Cashier, Salad Bar and Gift Shop
  • Lead birthday party execution and planning in the Showroom to maximize bookings and guest satisfaction
  • Partner with Technical Manager to maintain game room equipment and cleanliness, analyze data and ticket payouts
