The Restaurant Manager role at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing entails ensuring remarkable guest service and high-quality food and beverage offerings while maintaining overall profitability of the hotel's restaurant operations. This position involves managing the daily restaurant functions including overseeing restaurant and bar staff, maintaining inventory, enforcing quality and safety standards, and optimizing service efficiency. The manager acts as a vital link between the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to guarantee a smooth workflow and a welcoming dining experience for guests. Responsibilities include handling reservations and guest interactions, addressing inquiries and complaints professionally, monitoring food and beverage quality, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws. The role also requires collaboration with the sales and culinary teams to design special promotions, seasonal menus, and themed events that attract and retain guests. Furthermore, the Restaurant Manager is tasked with training, scheduling, and supervising all restaurant personnel to ensure adherence to hotel policies and service protocols.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field and 3-5 years of restaurant management experience. Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to multitask, solve problems efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is also essential. Compensation packages are variable and based on a range of factors specific to each candidate, including skills, experience, certifications, and the office location.
