The position available is an entry-level management role within the food and beverage department at W Philadelphia. This full-time management role involves assisting in the daily operations of the hotel's restaurants, bars, and room service. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
- strong leadership and supervisory abilities
- effective communication skills
- knowledge of local alcohol beverage laws and compliance
- ability to manage budgeting and operational goals
- capacity to handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally
- commitment to maintaining sanitation and safety standards
- availability to work flexible hours including peak meal periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage or related field

Job Duties
- Assist in management of restaurant team including handling employee questions and concerns
- monitor employee performance and provide feedback on service behaviors
- supervise daily shift operations
- oversee restaurant and related areas in absence of Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager
- participate in department meetings to communicate goals
- ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
- communicate with Chef and Restaurant Manager about food quality and service issues
- ensure compliance with restaurant policies, standards, and procedures
- monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws
- assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals
- perform duties of restaurant employees as necessary
- open and close restaurant shifts
- interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- supervise staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives
- encourage employees to provide excellent customer service
- handle guest problems and complaints
- strive to improve service performance
- set a positive example for guest relations
- assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results
- meet and greet guests
- supervise ongoing training initiatives
- use on the job training tools for employees
