The District is part of SSP America, one of the largest restaurant operators worldwide, known for delivering exceptional service and diverse dining experiences across various venues and locations.

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at The District in Oakland International Airport. This role is pivotal to the smooth functioning of the restaurant and requires a leader passionate about hospitality, food safety, and team development. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment managing all front-of-house and kitchen activities to ensure operational excellence. This position offers a competitive salary of $72,000 per year, including opportunities for quarterly and year-end bonuses, alongside comprehensive benefits and career progression prospects.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years in restaurant/food service management
  • Full-service dining with bar management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and POS systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proven problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred
  • Minimum 2 years in restaurant/food service in a management/supervisory capacity
  • Full-service dining with bar management experience required
  • Culinary background is desirable
  • Proficient level of computer literacy including MS Office and POS systems
  • Effective organizational maturity to prioritize activities
  • Ability to interact at all levels including executives and diverse team members
  • Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients and team
