Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in a restaurant supervisory or management role
- High school diploma required
- College degree strongly preferred
- Experience working in a union environment highly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
- Ability to motivate restaurant staff and maintain a cohesive team
- Must be able to suggestively sell menu items, beverages, and wines
- Must be able to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties

Job Duties
- Assist in coordinating, planning, preparing, and executing food and beverage services
- Follow up on guest feedback
- Assist in hiring, training, promotion, and firing of restaurant employees
- Ensure adherence to Sonesta safety and sanitation standards and local regulations
- Coordinate daily menus with Chef and educate the team
- Work the floor to ensure flawless execution and resolve complaints
- Inspect room and tables for proper setup and cleanliness
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Ensure closing duties for staff are completed
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- Assist in managing all aspects of the restaurant department
- Conduct scheduled inventories
- Prepare and adjust weekly work schedules
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and review daily information with staff
- Assist in annual performance evaluations
- Coach team with specific feedback
- Establish open relationships with staff and food & beverage team
- Motivate employees and foster a trusting work environment
- Lead by example with integrity and respect
- Inspire team to demonstrate Sonesta’s core values and guest service standards
