The Assistant Manager position at Chuck E. Cheese is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to advance their management career in the beloved family entertainment industry leader. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in making daily operational decisions related to staff scheduling, cleanliness, product and guest service standards, and more. This position also includes managing sales growth and profit maximization by recruiting, training, coaching, and motivating the team to meet company and guest expectations.

An Assistant Manager at Chuck E. Cheese will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest service and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficiently run environment. They must understand cost control, accounting for inventory, financial management, and labor costs. The role includes ownership of an "Area of Impact" (AOI) with rotations through kitchen management, sales oversight, showroom party planning, and gameroom operations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the venue.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong coaching and communication skills, composure, resourcefulness, ethical conduct, and effective time and priority management. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, perform physical activities like standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting during shifts, and withstand a dynamic work environment with flashing lights, loud noise, and varying temperature conditions.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, must be at least 21 years old (with potential local variations approved by the Regional Vice President), and have at least one year of management experience in food service or six months as an Opening Coordinator. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week
  • Must have a high-school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older with possible local law exceptions
  • Minimum of one year of experience managing people preferably in food service or six months as Opening Coordinator
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds during shift
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during shift
  • Work environment includes flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, exposure to non-weather related wet, humid, extreme heat and extreme cold conditions

Job Duties

  • Make daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness and upholding product and guest service standards
  • Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing and motivating team
  • Coach and inspire team to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure safe, clean, and running environment
  • Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management
  • Take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) in kitchen, sales, showroom, or gameroom with rotations through each area
  • Manage kitchen product ordering, food safety, scheduling, cleanliness, and oversee food preparation
  • Monitor sales results, inventory, ordering, execution, and profitability in sales areas
  • Lead birthday party execution and planning to maximize bookings and guest satisfaction
  • Partner with Technical Manager to maintain game and restaurant equipment and analyze gameplay data
