Job Description
This job opportunity is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee who holds a license to use the McDonald's brand logos and food products. However, this franchisee functions as a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. Employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are solely the responsibility of the franchisee, making this position directly under the franchisee's management and not McDonald's corporate office. Applicants should understand that McDonald's USA has no control over employment decisions or processes for this role.
The establishment is a McDonald's restaurant franchise, a globally recognized fast-food restaurant business known for delivering quick service and quality food. The franchise aims to provide satisfying career opportunities with good benefits and chances for advancement for its team members. The culture promotes flexibility in working hours, skill building, educational pursuits, and personal growth, creating an inspiring work environment.
The role available is for an Assistant Restaurant Leader (ARL), a dynamic leadership position key to supporting the Restaurant Leader in managing all aspects of the restaurant operations. The ARL is entrusted with leading daily operations, administration, and fostering a team environment focused on product quality, guest satisfaction, and compliance with company standards. This role provides a pathway for career growth through valuable job training, leadership experience, and coaching opportunities.
In addition to operational leadership, the ARL is expected to serve as a servant and change leader who partners with the Restaurant Leader to drive business success. The position requires hands-on engagement, including monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), developing action plans for improvement, labor controls management, coaching leadership teams, and managing by walking around to ensure adherence to McDonald's systems, standards, and routines.
This role is suited for professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience in assistant management or equivalent in hospitality, retail, or restaurant environments of similar or higher volume. Candidates must demonstrate a strong can-do attitude, analytical skills especially for Profit and Loss statements, and a commitment to creating a productive, compliant, and enjoyable workplace. Flexibility in working schedule and availability to be on call as business needs arise are also critical.
The Assistant Restaurant Leader is also responsible for fostering a culture of hospitality, ensuring that the restaurant remains a leader in guest service. Talent acquisition and employee-centric training are crucial to supporting the restaurant team. This position offers a chance to work proactively in a fast-paced environment while contributing to both team development and business outcomes.
The franchisee provides career advancement opportunities such as college tuition assistance and retirement benefits, supporting long-term employee growth. Working here means being part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering delicious food and feel-good moments that keep customers coming back. Joining this McDonald's franchise is an opportunity to build your skills, enjoy good benefits, and craft a rewarding career in restaurant management.
