This job opportunity is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee who holds a license to use the McDonald's brand logos and food products. However, this franchisee functions as a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. Employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are solely the responsibility of the franchisee, making this position directly under the franchisee's management and not McDonald's corporate office. Job Requirements

  • must have 3-5 years experience in assistant manager or equivalent role in hospitality, retail, or restaurant environment with similar or higher volume
  • have a can-do attitude
  • must be able to understand, analyze, and act on Profit and Loss statements
  • must be able to execute labor controls and coach leadership team on labor controls
  • must be able to create action plans, delegate tasks, and follow up to ensure completion
  • must be able to maintain an environment conducive to a fun, productive, and compliant workplace
  • must be able to effectively communicate and track goals
  • responsible for managing by walking around to encourage use of systems, standards, and routines
  • responsible for ensuring compliant performance management process
  • responsible for leading employee-centric training programs
  • must be able to lead a culture of hospitality
  • responsible for talent acquisition for restaurant-level roles
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule and be on call as business needs dictate

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in assistant manager or equivalent role in hospitality, retail, or restaurant environment
  • ability to understand and analyze Profit and Loss statements

  • strong leadership and coaching skills

  • experience with action plan creation and delegation
  • ability to manage performance processes

Job Duties

  • provide support to the Restaurant Leader on all aspects of operations
  • lead all operations in the absence of the Restaurant Leader
  • lead day to day operations and administration
  • provide coaching to department and shift leaders
  • monitor key performance indicators and create action plans
  • manage labor controls and coach leadership team on labor
  • create action plans, delegate tasks, and ensure completion
  • maintain a productive and compliant workplace environment
  • communicate and track goals effectively
  • manage by walking around to ensure use of systems, standards, and routines
  • ensure compliant performance management process is followed
  • lead employee-centric training programs
  • cultivate a culture of hospitality and guest service leadership
  • conduct talent acquisition for restaurant-level roles
  • work a flexible schedule and be on call as needed
