The role of Assistant Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's is a pivotal position responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in the day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest standards and culture are maintained. This position requires a hands-on approach in managing the fast-paced environment of a busy restaurant. The Assistant Restaurant Leader will be actively involved in managing crewmembers, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer service. Essential responsibilities include overseeing employee onboarding, scheduling, and payroll, coaching and developing hourly crewmembers, and managing restaurant opening and closing procedures. This role demands the ability to multitask effectively while working in various physical environments, including intense kitchen areas that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending during shifts.
The Assistant Restaurant Leader will also be expected to enforce company policies, manage cash handling with accuracy, and ensure the restaurant facility remains clean and operational. This leadership role calls for excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a strong commitment to operational integrity and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Restaurant Leader will often act as the manager on duty and must therefore exemplify leadership qualities, including problem-solving, team motivation, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at $55,000 annually, supplemented by a monthly training incentive and additional incentives based on restaurant performance, emphasizing both professional growth and financial reward.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 3 or more years of restaurant or retail management experience
- must be 18 years of age or older
- possess a valid driver's license
- able to work a variety of shifts including days evenings and weekends
- able to travel as needed for work-related functions and training
- detail-oriented and organized
- strong communication skills
- self-driven and flexible
- prior management experience required

- 3 or more years of restaurant or retail management experience
- new restaurant opening experience preferred
- at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent required some college preferred
- possess a valid driver's license
Job Duties
- hire and terminate all hourly non-management crewmembers
- own the onboarding status change and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers
- create crewmember work and training schedules
- manage the performance of all hourly crewmembers including development coaching redirective communication and documentation
- act as manager on duty and open and close the restaurant
- manage cash handling and ensure accountability
- enforce Raising Cane's policies and standards
- execute shift management meeting operations and safety standards
- use required tools forms and logs to support shift execution document results and take corrective action when needed
- deploy crewmembers during a shift
- provide exemplary customer service
- utilize reward and recognition program for crewmembers
- authorize employee functions requiring manager approval such as discounts promotions and timeclock overrides
- ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and maintain facility in good working order
- complete other duties as assigned
