The position of Assistant Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's is a critical role within the restaurant's operational team. This full-time role comes with a competitive salary starting from $55,000 to $65,000 annually, with an additional monthly training incentive of $750. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications. The successful candidate will support the Restaurant Leader in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that the Raising Cane's high standards and unique culture are upheld in every aspect of restaurant management. This includes a hands-on environment that involves physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending while adapting to different indoor and outdoor working conditions. The Assistant Restaurant Leader will take responsibility for hiring, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and the performance management of all hourly crewmembers, acting as a key leadership figure during shifts, including opening and closing the restaurant. This position also requires managing financial accountability, specifically cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and operational procedures. The role demands strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • Able to travel for work-related functions and training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple changing priorities
  • Physical ability to handle extended periods of walking, standing, lifting and bending

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • New restaurant opening experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Flexible and self-driven

Job Duties

  • Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers
  • Owns the onboarding, status change and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers
  • Creates crewmember work and training schedules
  • Manages the performance of all hourly crewmembers including development, coaching, redirective communication and documentation
  • Acts as manager on duty and opens and closes the restaurant
  • Manages cash handling and ensures accountability
  • Enforces Raising Cane's policies and standards
