Job Description
Go Store It Management is a leading provider of secure and convenient self storage solutions with over 150 locations across 23 states. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence to meet the diverse needs of its clients. Its strong reputation and expanding footprint have made Go Store It a trusted name in the self storage industry. The company is dedicated not only to providing top-notch storage options but also to fostering a supportive environment for both customers and employees. This commitment to quality and service has driven continuous growth and created a positive workplace culture focused on employee development and satisfaction.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a company that values initiative and responsibility. At Go Store It, the ideal candidate is someone who does not settle for half-done tasks but rather takes ownership and ensures things are kept in top shape. You are trusted to manage the facility independently and possess a hands-on approach to daily challenges. The role is full-time with steady 40-hour weeks and offers schedule flexibility, making it conducive for work-life balance. You will be the key person responsible for maintaining and managing the property to keep it clean, safe, and functional for customers. The job responsibilities include assisting with applicant contacts and training new hires, updating unit statuses, adjusting rental rates, and resolving customer escalations unrelated to employee issues.
The role also involves regular property walks to identify and fix minor maintenance issues such as locks, lights, doors, toilets, and paint. Maintaining cleanliness of hallways, driveways, units, bathrooms, and managing trash runs are critical to ensuring a welcoming experience for renters. You will also prepare units for new renters by cleaning and turning them over promptly after move-outs. Checking the operation of security features like gates, lights, and alarms is essential to maintain facility security. Assisting customers on-site and taking pride in keeping the property in excellent condition are vital aspects of this role.
Go Store It emphasizes a supportive and respectful workplace environment, with no yelling, no drama, and no favorites. Employees are provided tools and supplies at no out-of-pocket expense, and the company promotes growth from within; most supervisors began in this position. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance fully covered by the company, a 401(k) plan with company match, two weeks of paid time off in the first year plus ten paid holidays, and schedule postings in advance for clarity. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to grow within the company and take pride in their work without needing prior maintenance expertise or a college degree. Go Store It focuses on hiring individuals who are dependable, proactive, and motivated to maintain and improve their workspace while contributing to outstanding customer service.
