Job Description
Go Store It Management is a prominent leader in the self-storage industry, providing secure, convenient, and reliable storage solutions to customers across a broad footprint that spans over 150 locations in 23 states. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence, Go Store It Management continually strives to meet diverse customer needs by offering well-maintained, accessible storage units backed by professional, attentive service. As a company dedicated to both customer and employee well-being, Go Store It Management fosters a supportive and dynamic work environment where staff members are empowered to take ownership of their roles and contribute to the company's ongoing growth and reputation for quality.
The opportunity at Go Store It Management is ideal for individuals who are proactive, dependable, and motivated to maintain a high standard of operational quality. The role involves day-to-day property management duties that include ensuring the facility remains clean, secure, and in good repair, which directly impacts the customer experience. Employees in this position are entrusted with the responsibility to manage repairs of minor issues such as locks, lights, doors, toilets, along with routine maintenance tasks like sweeping, cleaning, and trash runs. Furthermore, the role requires engaging with customers onsite, assisting them as needed, and handling escalations related to customer service (excluding employee complaints).
The company values individuals who take initiative—those who address problems immediately instead of leaving tasks incomplete. This role requires someone who can work independently without constant supervision, capable of spotting issues such as trash, leaks, lighting failures, and damage while walking the property daily. Employees are expected to update unit statuses and adjust rental rates as necessary to reflect operational realities and ensure rental readiness by cleaning and preparing units following move-outs. Training responsibilities are also part of the role, as new hires require onboarding according to established procedures.
Go Store It Management offers full-time employment, with a dependable 40-hour workweek and schedule flexibility to accommodate employees’ needs. The company takes pride in offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance coverage at no cost to the employee, and a 401(k) plan featuring company matching contributions. Paid time off is generous with two weeks provided in the first year alongside ten paid holidays, promoting a healthy work-life balance. The workplace culture is characterized by an absence of drama or favoritism, where all employees are treated with respect and fairness. The company also prides itself on promoting from within, with many supervisors having started in the front-line roles, illustrating the potential for career growth.
Importantly, there are no advanced expertise or academic requirements beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, making this an accessible role for individuals ready to show up and contribute through dedication and hard work. Training is provided for all necessary maintenance tasks, so prior experience or technical knowledge is not required. The job demands dependability, initiative, and good judgment, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation being necessary for the position. With Go Store It Management, you'll be joining a team that values your effort, invests in your professional growth, and offers a stable, supportive environment where your contributions matter and are recognized.
