Job Description

Hines is a globally recognized real estate investment, development, and property management firm founded in 1957 by Gerald D. Hines. With a presence in 28 countries, Hines manages an extensive portfolio of high-performing assets valued at over $92 billion, spanning residential, logistics, retail, office, and mixed-use properties. The company is renowned for its commitment to sustainable practices, including a bold target to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040 without purchasing offsets. Hines' reputation for innovation and excellence has earned it a place on Fast Company's World’s Most Innovative Companies list for 2024 as well as recognition from U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Companies to Work For in 2024.

Hines prides itself on blending local expertise with a global perspective to deliver tailored real estate solutions that drive value, connection, and inspiration for its clients and communities. The firm's strategic approach involves taking calculated risks aligned with strong convictions to surpass market expectations. Beyond the physical assets, Hines places a strong emphasis on investing in its people, providing comprehensive training, competitive salary packages, robust benefits, and fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace environment. With over 5,000 employees worldwide, Hines continues to build on its 65-year legacy while embracing innovation and sustainability.

The role of Assistant Property Manager at Hines is pivotal in ensuring the day-to-day seamless operations of the property while delivering top-tier hospitality services. This position demands a highly organized individual with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for exceptional customer service. The Assistant Property Manager supports the creation of spaces where occupants and visitors feel valued, connected, and inspired by combining solid real estate acumen with a hospitality-driven mindset.

Responsibilities include assisting in the leadership of property personnel and third-party vendors to uphold Hines’ renowned Hospitality Standards. The role involves coordinating community-focused event programming and ensuring service offerings meet company policies and corporate objectives. On the operational side, the Assistant Property Manager handles administrative tasks, maintains vendor relationships, supports financial oversight including budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting, and helps implement marketing and leasing strategies to attract and retain tenants.

Moreover, the position requires managing mixed-use operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies, maintaining accurate lease records, and collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate tenant billing and rent roll management. Emergency preparedness is also a key component, including executing emergency plans, monitoring equipment, assisting in evacuations, and acting as fire/life safety director when necessary.

This role offers a competitive salary range from $80,000 to $100,000, reflecting the importance of the position within Hines’ property management operations. Working indoors most of the time with occasional outdoor inspections, the Assistant Property Manager must also be physically capable to perform property inspections and manage emergency situations outside of regular hours, including availability for on-site operations management during natural disasters. This challenging yet rewarding role is ideal for proactive leaders who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about creating exceptional real estate experiences through a blend of hospitality and managerial expertise.
