The Assistant Property Manager role at CROSSTIMBERS is a pivotal position reporting directly to the Property Manager. This role is designed for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who supports all facets of property management to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the community. The Assistant Property Manager must be capable of stepping in during the absence of the Property Manager, handling critical responsibilities such as managing community cash flows, maintaining the property according to company and industry standards, and fostering exceptional customer service. Job Requirements

  • Current driver's license
  • ARM or CAM preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 4-year degree
  • 2-year associates degree
  • 2 years' work experience in retail sales or customer related service
  • Professional appearance
  • Detailed oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of apartment rental and collection practices
  • Excellent customer service, sales, and marketing skills
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work well independently and with others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Yardi software expertise preferred
  • Knowledge of residential property management

Job Duties

  • Manage the community in the temporary absence of the Property Manager
  • Ensure daily bank deposits and manage all monies related to the community
  • Show apartments and process applications for prospective residents
  • Handle and coordinate move-ins and move-outs
  • Prepare and maintain resident files according to company policies
  • Initiate lease renewal process and forward packets to Property Manager
  • Process maintenance service requests
  • Participate in maintaining good resident relations
  • Prepare weekly traffic and renewal status reports
  • Keep advertising and website files up to date
  • Cooperate with other departments within the company
  • Handle special assignments as given
  • Perform outreach marketing as directed
  • Follow-up on rental leads and visitors
  • Process accounts payable and receivable as instructed
  • Provide staff planning and feedback
  • Develop subordinates' skills
  • Solicit and apply customer feedback
