The role of Assistant Program Director for the MRI Tech program at American Career College provides a unique opportunity to play a critical part in the academic and professional development of future MRI Technologists. This position involves delivering the approved curriculum according to program objectives and lesson plans, ensuring that students meet academic standards and progress successfully through their coursework. The Assistant Program Director will also be responsible for reviewing Student Academic Progress (SAP) reports at the end of each module, preparing and delivering SAP advising documents to support students' ongoing success.

In addition to academic responsibilities, the role includes assisting with the development of departmental budgets, planning, and staffing requirements, which contributes to the overall operational effectiveness of the MRI program. Candidates holding this position will have a deep knowledge of current MRI technology, supported by certification and registration with a recognized national certification board. A bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution and at least 1-2 years of post-certification MRI experience are essential qualifications.

Preferred candidates will bring experience in teaching either in didactic or clinical settings within MRI programs and may hold additional Radiologic Technologist credentials. Certification by ARRT (MR) is highly favored. The position offers a competitive salary range from $98,454.61 to $142,710.62 per year, reflecting the responsibility and impact of this leadership role. Although the role is not bonus eligible, it provides a meaningful career path in an institution dedicated to developing healthcare professionals who make a difference from day one.

Job Requirements

  • must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution
