The role of Assistant Prepared Foods Team Lead at Earth Fare is a dynamic and integral position within the Prepared Foods Department. Job Requirements
- must have 1-2 years minimum experience working in a food service environment
- must have communication skills to train, coach and lead team members
- must understand food safety and sanitation as well as proper use of kitchen utensils and equipment
- must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to work varying shifts including overtime
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling and squatting
- must uphold company policies including anti-harassment program
- must work cooperatively with team leaders, supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- must uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years minimum experience working in a food service environment
- 1-2 years minimum experience working in a retail or customer service environment preferred
- knowledge of food service industry trends including common allergies and specialized dietary terms
- understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Outlook
- ability to learn to use a Falcon hand-held computer scanner
- leadership experience preferred
- desire to develop and grow career with Earth Fare
Job Duties
- Communicates the Earth Fare vision and standard operating procedures to team members
- Coaches, trains and develops team members in the Food Service Department
- Supervises and participates in the production of in-house prepared foods and ensures proper presentation and display
- Orders and receives deliveries
- schedules team members
- reviews sales and shrink reports and responds accordingly
- Conducts monthly department inventory
- Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of the department
- Develops and maintains an attractive sales floor by following merchandising guidelines
