Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • At least one year of experience as a cake decorator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail bakery environment
  • Ability to follow recipes and bakery procedures accurately
  • Willingness to maintain cleanliness and organization in the workstation
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for 5-8 hours
  • Knowledge of corporate and state sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as a cake decorator
  • Ability to provide friendly and efficient customer service
  • Knowledge of bakery operations and equipment use
  • Familiarity with state and corporate safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to supervise others and maintain a clean work environment

Job Duties

  • Assist with patisserie bakery operation including preparation, baking, merchandising, and presentation of bakery products
  • Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards
  • Follow all recipes and ensure products are fresh, labeled, and priced correctly
  • Assist with or create customer special orders such as cakes
  • Operate bakery department equipment including ovens and mixers
  • Supervise teammates in the patisserie area to ensure customer service and safety procedures are met
