Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry production
- Strong decorating and piping skills
- Experience with mousse, custards and frostings
- Ability to operate pastry and baking equipment
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Previous hotel experience preferred
- Open availability and flexible shift hours
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry, producing and assembling desserts in a high volume bakery or hotel
- Previous decorating and strong piping skills
- Experience with producing fillings (mousse, custards, frostings) and dessert assembly and finishing
- Working knowledge of pastry and baking equipment
- Ability to read and follow written recipes
- Previous hotel experience highly preferred
- Open availability
Job Duties
- Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
- Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
- Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
