Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry production
  • Strong decorating and piping skills
  • Experience with mousse, custards and frostings
  • Ability to operate pastry and baking equipment
  • Ability to read and follow recipes
  • Previous hotel experience preferred
  • Open availability and flexible shift hours

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry, producing and assembling desserts in a high volume bakery or hotel
  • Previous decorating and strong piping skills
  • Experience with producing fillings (mousse, custards, frostings) and dessert assembly and finishing
  • Working knowledge of pastry and baking equipment
  • Ability to read and follow written recipes
  • Previous hotel experience highly preferred
  • Open availability

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
