Job Requirements

  • ability to communicate, read and write in English fluently and professionally
  • 4 years experience in a high volume, high quality pastry production kitchen
  • minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
  • willingness to obtain and maintain licensing or active work cards as required
  • ability to work efficiently within a team

Job Qualifications

  • ability to communicate, read and write in English fluently and professionally
  • 4 years experience in high volume, high quality pastry production kitchen
  • minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
  • banquet and catering pastry training degree preferred
  • culinary or pastry training degree preferred
  • advanced knowledge of pastries and desserts, sanitation and cost control
  • ability to manage all aspects of a pastry operation
  • ability to work efficiently within a team
  • ability to obtain and maintain required licensing or active work cards

Job Duties

  • support the Executive Chef in all aspects of cost control
  • complete inventories and food requisitions
  • manage and train kitchen staff
  • support Chef de Parties and cooks if necessary
  • supervise the production of pastries and desserts for outlets
  • ensure food quality according to department standards
  • ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment according to Health Department standards
