This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards within the company, particularly within the bakery and food production departments. Candidates will be knowledgeable about material safety data sheets (MSDS) relevant to their department and have a strong understanding of emergency procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Working in alignment with prescribed schedules and job specifications, the individual will showcase strong teamwork skills and actively participate in daily team huddles and communication updates to stay informed of critical information.

The role requires a hands-on approach within various kitchen environments covering multiple meal periods and managing high-volume food production. Responsibilities include baking a wide range of products such as cakes, pies, pastries, breads, and tortes according to corporate recipe guidelines and quality standards. The candidate will ensure the kitchen and related equipment are maintained in optimal condition to provide a clean, hazard-free workplace that complies with sanitation and safety regulations set forth by department policies and health authorities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of bakery experience
  • Proven knowledge of advanced baking techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Must be willing to learn and adapt
  • Ability to handle high volume and fast-paced environments
  • Experience with inventory management and cost control

  • Physical ability to perform baking duties including standing for long periods and handling kitchen equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced skills in piping gels, icings, and creams
  • Expertise in chocolate and sugar work
  • Ability to create amenity displays
  • Capability to organize and assist with production task planning
  • Knowledge to assess banquet event orders (BEOs)
  • Competency in dessert plating
  • Ability to create recipes with attached costs
  • Proficiency in station set up and breakdown execution

Job Duties

  • Practice and promote Station Casinos' 'Beyond the Best' culture and Championship Service Standards
  • Know the location and contents of MSDS booklet for your department
  • Display knowledge of all emergency procedures
  • Follow set schedules and specific job requirements
  • Encourage and display teamwork within the department
  • Attend daily Team Member huddles and review communication boards
  • Follow recipe book and corporate food and beverage guidelines
  • Ensure kitchens and equipment are clean, safe, and hazard-free
  • Work hands-on in any kitchen environment including three-meal periods and high-volume production
  • Bake cakes, pies, pastries, breads, tortes, etc. according to Station Casinos' standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in line with department policies and health regulations
