We are currently looking to hire a part-time Assistant Pastry Chef to join our talented pastry team. This position offers approximately 30 hours of work per week, primarily in the early morning hours from 6 am to 1 pm. Weekend availability is a must, as weekends tend to be our busiest times, requiring extra hands in the kitchen. The role of the Assistant Pastry Chef is integral in supporting the head pastry chef in the preparation of various baked goods, specifically focusing on batters, buttercream, frostings, and mousses. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about pastry arts who wants to further develop their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced bakery setting.

The ideal candidate should have at least one year of hands-on experience working with different types of batters and frostings, possessing a solid foundation in creating high-quality pastries. Being self-disciplined and detail-oriented is essential to maintain the bakery's standards and ensure every product that leaves our kitchen is perfect. The role requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy items, sometimes exceeding 50 pounds, so physical stamina is important.
