Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a pastry chef role
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen
- Attention to detail and quality
- Good physical stamina for kitchen work
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques including pate brisee and biscuit making
- Ability to manage mise en place production efficiently
- Creativity in dessert menu development
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Make pate brisee and buttermilk biscuits
- Manage mise en place production for a 5 item dessert menu
- Lead production of the pastry department
- Contribute creatively to the dessert menu after establishing as a team member
- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate dessert service
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the pastry workspace
