The hotel is currently seeking an Operations Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage to join its dynamic Food & Beverage Team. This role is pivotal in overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets within the hotel, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to high standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a broad range of operational duties including scheduling, forecasting, and staff training, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws alongside Hyatt's operating procedures. This position demands a leader with strong communication and analytical skills, capable of working collaboratively within teams and following through on assigned tasks to completion.

The Assistant Operations Manager - Food & Beverage will actively engage in day-to-day operations, demonstrating a strong presence during service hours to supervise, mentor, and train staff. The role involves conducting end-of-day report preparations, inventory management, and walk-through inspections to maintain compliance with the Department of Health regulations and internal standards. Furthermore, the position requires a proactive approach to resolving guest complaints and maintaining superior guest satisfaction, aligning with Hyatt's commitment to delivering memorable and quality service experiences. The successful candidate will also manage weekly responsibilities such as payroll, staffing schedules, and interdepartmental follow-ups.

Salary for this position ranges between $70,000 and $80,000 per year, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required.   • Minimum 2 years of food and beverage management experience preferably with Hyatt

Job Duties

  • Opening and closing of restaurant and bar operations
  • prepare end of day reports
  • manage inventory requisitions

  • supervise colleagues during service hours
  • train new employees on company procedures and policies
  • coach and mentor staff within service
  • document corrective actions and conduct disciplinary discussions
  • ensure prompt customer service from waitstaff and bartenders
  • resolve guest and customer complaints
  • respond to online guest feedback
  • maintain friendly, helpful, and courteous interactions
  • implement policies and procedures to increase satisfaction
  • assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new employees

  • follow up on projects and outstanding interdepartmental requests
  • act as a liaison for food and beverage spaces within the property
